Grant Making Galore!

Although YEFAB is currently interviewing applicants for the three year grant cycle, we will soon begin to gear up for the midst of the 2013 spring mini-grant cycle. In December, YEFAB went through an extensive review process during a 2 week marathon where we reviewed 21 applications, had 2 four hour meetings where we presented our analysis of each applicant and determined which organization to interview. We then interviewed about a dozen applicants to get a better understanding of their program and what goals they wanted to achieve and how. The following week we had another meeting where each YEFAB member presented our updated stance on each program and our funding recommendation for each respective organization. We then came back for one last consultation as a group to finalize the groups we'd be funding and we came away with several fabulous organizations determined to make their mark in the community. We've now received program officer assignments, and are ready to roll for the rest of this grant cycle!
