Grantee: Slam Fund, Workshops and Event

We have already contacted our grantees and my grantee is the Slam Fund, a part of Youth Speaks. Their first meeting is on Oct 27th and their purpose is to unite one’s voice to unite one’s community. They host weekly workshops that allow public participation if anyone is interested. Their works address issues affecting young people today and one of the main topics currently is nutrient. Down below are information on their workshops if anyone is interest.

The Under-21 Open Mics are performance open-houses for new young writers and performers to embrace their skills and talents. Also, they provide spaces for poets to share their work and cultivate their voices. These events are held in community locations throughout the East Bay and San Francisco and are organized by members of the Youth Advisory Board, Spokes. They are free events so feel free to attend and hear the minds of young inspirational youth.
