ACE Presentation

On December 10,2012, ACE, the Alliance for Climate Education came to present at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory High School. In order to help bring awareness to the issues occurring on Earth, and the effects of human involvement, Presenter Wen Lee showed students through video and a cool presentation, the significant impact. Watching and listening to the presentation was amazing. The presentation itself was very engaging. As Wen walked around and talked, the presentation moved along with her every word. In addition, there were two special guest speakers who were both snowboarders, and they talked to us about the climate effects they’ve seen while snowboarding. This presentation had a big impact on us because it showed that we are hurting the Earth because we use so much technology and energy, and the Earth can only take so much. However, right now isn’t too late. If we start right now, recycling, composting, and spreading the word about what’s happening to our planet, we can save our Earth from getting destroyed. We can STOP global warming. Two girls at a school in California were able to do that. In fact, they were able to make such a change that they even got invited to the White House. One club in a school in California was able to make a school dance all about traveling on bikes while dancing, and it turned out to be fun and a success! The more we, as citizens, act and speak on this issue, the cleaner and safer our Earth will be.
