This weekend on Saturday was my grantees, Arab Muslim Awareness's last event with YEFAB. I was so proud of my grantee's putting on their first and finial event, they had come so far from only presenting in classrooms to putting on their own event. My mother and I walked through the boys and girls club door greeted by hyper kids running around with makers in their hands. The room was filled with different flags from all around the Middle East, and different foods as well. Going into the other room, where kids were making their shirts, and women were drawing hena designs on each other. I sat down with Gillian, and began talking to the artist who began working on Gillian's hand. When Gillian was done with her hand I began working on her other hand making flowery designs. I was satisfied as to how my art had turned out and so were many other girls. I did another had before I had to go. The final even for the Arab Muslim Awareness was amazing!Wednesday, December 19, 2012
