“Bad things happen to good people. Good things happen to bad people.”

Trayvon Martin was a seventeen year old boy who had a big future ahead of him. He dreamt of going to college and becoming an aviation mechanic. However, on February 26th, 2012, his right to dream was taken away from him when he was shot and killed.  That day he went to a nearby convenience store to get his brother Skittles and an iced tea. He never made it back home because George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch leader, opened fire and shot Trayvon in the chest. Although Zimmerman was instructed by the police to not do anything until they got there, he believed he was doing the right thing when he opened fire because Trayvon looked “suspicious” since he was the only African American person in the neighborhood. Zimmerman openly admitted to the police that he shot Trayvon in the chest. Why then have the police not arrested the killer yet? To uphold the justice Trayvon Martin and his family deserves, sign the petition at http://www.change.org/petitions/prosecute-the-killer-of-our-son-17-year-old-trayvon-martin?utm_campaign=rjisaZqTpX&utm_medium=email&utm_source=action_alert that will prosecute George Zimmerman.
