On Wednesday, Feburary 17th, 2012, I partcipated in the Center for Young Women's Devoplopment conference called "Know Justice". This conference was broken into 4 diffrent topics and awareness workshops: LGBTQ awareness, young incarcerated mother's bill of rights awareness, youth and gang injunction in the 415 and 510, education justice, and know justice handbook training. Later we all participated in different engaging activities. There was live music from diffrent local rappers and youth, spoken word peformances, and dance competitions.
What I enjoyed the most was in the beginning, there was a pannel that consisted of 6 youth ranging from ages 6 to 24 who expressed thier life stories, past struggles, their inspirations, who influenced them, and why they have become the youth leaders they are today.
