Last month March 2011, Youth Empowerment Fund Advisory Board (YEFAB) members were divided into 4 different groups to present pop ed. or popular education. Each group decided on a topic that they think is important for youth to address in our community. The topics that YEFAB presented were about teen pregnancy, stress issues among youth, ethnic studies and the harmful effects of using tobaccos. The groups were given enough time to prepare for their presentation. They presented different interactive activities and discusssions for the rest of YEFAB. Each group had their own unique way of presenting. It was a nice and such an informative experience for all!
